Description
This contract position offers a unique opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide exceptional pediatric care while working within a dynamic staffing and recruiting environment.
As a Locum MD/DO in Pediatrics you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality medical services to children in our care. Your expertise will contribute to the well-being of young patients ensuring they receive the necessary attention and treatment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive pediatric care to patients of all ages
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat common pediatric conditions
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Respond to emergencies and urgent medical situations
- Participate in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Current state medical license to practice in California
- Board certification in Pediatrics is preferred
- Experience in a pediatric practice setting
- Strong clinical skills and patient management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to children and their families
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts (7a-7a) 6-7 days per month
Delivery Volume: 30 per month
Duties: Well-newborn exam upon delivery follow-up with any additional needs until discharge discharge exam and attendance at delivery if requested
Support Staff: Nurses OB tech lactation consultants
Must be board-certified
