DATA ANALYST (Credit Risk)
Your role and work environment
As a Data Analyst youll be responsible for data analysis and data collection activities to support credit risk model monitoring and/or model validation activities. It has a key role in supporting the INGs global data management strategy and is focused on providing business insights through the analysis and collection of data across the bank.
As a Data Analyst you are not afraid of handling and analysing highly complex data from different source systems. You are great at combining these data into data marts based on model teams requirements and ensuring that the data quality is sufficient. You are also able to identify the root cause of data quality issues and propose solutions to these issues if necessary. By generating these data marts you support model teams in their data requirement needs which are used in assessing INGs credit risk model performance and help stakeholders in important decision-making.
As you will be operating in a complex stakeholder environment its important you can prioritise information and insight needs. You are an energetic motivating person who can work as part of a multidisciplinary team and who can also work independently think and act out of the box and take accountability. And you contribute to the ING One Agile Way of Working and safeguard the Orange Code.
Your key responsibilities
As Data Analyst:
- Perform thorough analysis and articulation of credit risk model data requirements.
- Implementation of the data collection requirements into SAS programs following standard practices.
- Identification and understanding of specific data quality issues to ensure effective delivery data to the users using standard tools.
- Proposing solutions to identified data quality issues.
- Provide technical documentation on how the end-to-end data collection steps were done.
- You identify and define new data collection improvement opportunities.
We are looking for
We are looking for specialists / experts to join the Data Analytics team to support the processes of building risk models and management reports in finance and risk. We combine knowledge of risk modelling and advanced data processing. We have extensive knowledge of the Banks processes which enables us to understand and interpret data for the purposes of modelling and reporting the phenomena accompanying these processes. Our work focuses on data analysis and preparing it for reporting and modelling.
Skillset:
- You have a college degree in e.g. Mathematics Computer/Data Science Information Management or Statistics
- You have knowledge of and experience in Data Analysis in the area of financial or credit risk
- You know SQL very well (required)
- You know how to program very well in SAS (4GL)
- You can interpret data on your own based on the collected information and assumptions
- You have an ability to clearly and succinctly express ideas facts and opinions supported by appropriate tools.
- You know how to identify problems analysing key information and making connections to find appropriate solutions.
- You can complete tasks and achieves results in an efficient timely and high-quality manner with a focus on execution and delivery of targets and KPIs.
- Attention to Detail: Data is precise. You make sure you are vigilant in your analysis to come to correct conclusions
- You actively ask for help and feedback and are not afraid to give feedback
- You easily adapt to a new environment
- Preferred skills
- Understanding of the credit process at the Bank
- Experience in working with credit or market risk modelling (PD LGD EAD IFRS9 IRB Definition of Default)
- Ability to analyse and understand the Banks balance sheet
- Experience in working with Agile / Scrum
- Experience IN Bash GIT/GitLab Jenkins Confluence.
