Full-Time Humanities Teacher

The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for aFull-Time (1.00 f.t.e.) Humanities Teacher atFairview High School.This position will commence on February 2 2026. The initial assignment will include Junior High Social Studies Senior High Social 20-2 and Health 7.

Fairview High School offers complete programming for grades seven though twelve. Our schools programming covers both academic and non academic courses coupled with a large variety of electives. Junior high students are offered Industrial Arts Home Economics and French as well as Art and Computer programs. Fairview High School is fortunate to have partnered with Northwestern Polytechnic (NWP) - Fairview campus to offer the senior high students the opportunity to use the new fitness center in Phys. Qualifications:

• Experience and/or training in teaching junior high or senior high grade levels.
• Excellent communications skills with students staff and parents.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and educational assistants to ensure student success.
• Proven ability to differentiate lessons to support students achievement.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• A keen understanding of assessment practices.
• The ability to use technology to support learning in the classroom .

Requirements:

• Must hold or be eligible for a validAlberta Teaching Certificate (please provide certificate number or proof of application reference number).
• Provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check dated within six (6) months of your application.

This teaching position falls under the Collective Agreement between the Alberta Teachers Association and the Peace River School Division.

Annual Salary Range: $ 66520 to $ 112451 (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers Association and the Peace River School Division).
