Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Customs Brokerage Manager to lead the import compliance and customs clearance operations.
This role oversees a team of entry writers and ensures smooth compliant and timely import processing while driving operational excellence.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the customs brokerage team including training workload distribution and performance oversight.
- Oversee the full import clearance process (ISF customs entries audits billing) and resolve escalated issues.
- Ensure all operations comply with U.S. Customs regulations HTS classifications PGAs and company SOPs.
- Improve department workflows quality control and operational efficiency.
- Partner with internal teams (Sales Operations Finance Legal) to support client onboarding and service delivery.
- Maintain customs systems reporting tools and provide management with performance and compliance reports.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelors degree in Business International Trade Logistics or related field (preferred).
- 7 years of customs brokerage or international trade experience including 23 years in management/supervision.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations (19 CFR) HTS PGAs valuation etc.
- Proven leadership skills with experience developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel Word PowerPoint.
- Experience with customs/brokerage systems (preferred).
- Bilingual in Korean and English (required).
