Were looking for an

Financial Accountant (6 Month Contract)


This role will be an integral part of the finance team and will assist in achieving departmental objectives in a dynamic and deadline driven environment while the department integrates into a new global finance team within the Hamilton Insurance group.


What you will do


  • Work with the finance team to issue financial regulatory and management reports to a high quality and on a timely basis
  • Assist the finance team with the completion of the monthly and quarterly close process
  • Prepare reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare general ledger posting transactions
  • Assist with VAT IPT & FET tax calculations
  • Assist with maintenance and development of systems and internal controls
  • Strive for efficiencies in the finance function and add value to the business whenever possible.

What you require for the role


      • Strong monthly/quarterly financial close experience
      • Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA
      • Experience in financial services with insurance / reinsurance accounting preferable
      • Experience in working with sophisticated spreadsheets
      • Excellent verbal and written skills
      • Ability to communicate effectively with senior personnel within the group
      • Ability to prioritise issues identify areas of difficulty and communicate clearly with Financial Controller / CFO
      • Technical expertise & capabilities within your field
      • Ability to productively leverage data and technology
      • Results-oriented and growth mindset
