The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for the full-time position of Academic/Student Support Associate 4Health Careers at the Dickson South Campus. This is not a remote work position. This position is grant-funded.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Technical diploma in a related field Associate degree preferred. A comparable combination of education and directly related experience may be considered.
• Minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in an office setting; experience in higher education preferred.
• Banner experience highly preferred.
• Ability to effectively and tactfully communicate in various forms with employees students and the public at all levels.

SKILLS

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Intermediate computer skills with knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced office environment.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects at once with minimal direct supervision.
• Ability to design and maintain record-keeping systems.

GENERAL DUTIES: The Academic/Student Support Associate 4 Health Careers serves as the main TCAT Dickson receptionist with expanded duties at the South Campus. Duties include but are not limited to: providing general guidance to current and prospective students about admissions and registration for all Health Careers programs; routing calls/visitors to the correct department; communicating with students regarding missing requirements; ordering supplies and tracking purchases; processing student exits; etc. This position also assists with Student Services functions related to graduation new student orientations other special events routine data entry filing other general office duties etc. Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This position reports to the Student Services Coordinator. This is not a remote work position.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Strength requirements (physical demands) - Mental and Visual Demand:

1. Sedentary work -- involves sitting some of the time; involves mobile accessibility to entire school and off-campus locations.
2. Requires mental and visual attention to detail.
3. Strength requirements lift up to 10 pounds on occasion; lift carry push or pull objects occasionally.

SALARY: $31763-$39704 per year ($16.29-$20.36 per hour). Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines education and related experience.
