Definition
Under the direction of the Director or Assistant Director of Child Nutrition Services plans coordinates and leads the Districts catering operations ensuring the preparation and delivery of high-quality nutritionally balanced meals for District events meetings and special programs. Oversees the operation of the District food truck and coordinates special food delivery services in alignment with District initiatives. Ensures compliance with federal state and local regulations while upholding food safety and sanitation standards.
Essential responsibilities and duties may include but are not limited to the following:
Education: An Associates degree or equivalent in culinary arts nutrition food service management or a related field.
Experience: Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in large-scale food preparation catering or institutional food service including experience providing functional direction to staff.
Licenses and Other Requirements:
This is an Open and Promotionalrecruitment: Internal candidates who attain a passing score on each examination part will be placed in rank order on a promotional eligibility list. Outside candidates will be similarly placed on an open eligibility list which will be used after the promotional list or if there are fewer than three ranks remaining on the promotional list. These examinations are open to permanent employees and the public.
