Supports surgical services through pre- intra- and post-operative care and coordination with the surgical team to optimize patient Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the JobManages acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions such as fractures joint disorders and sports pre-operative assessments including patient education risk evaluation and coordination of necessary post-operative care including wound management pain control and rehabilitation orthopedic surgeons intraoperatively as and interprets diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests to support clinical patient care with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and optimal patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record maintaining compliance with institutional accurate and timely documentation of services is accordance with SEARHC optimal patient experience using strong listening and communication long-term patient care SEARHC physician as needed for patient care and uses other access to specialists as needed (i.e. AristaMD ANMC providers etc.).Provides medical services at facilities within the SEARHC care network and other facilities and locations listed in SEARHCs compact and funding agreement with the Indian Health participates in SEARHC quality patient care initiatives and quality assurance participates in provider meetings clinic meetings and SEARHC medical staff FunctionsDepending upon the location and needs of the community served participates in shared after-hours emergency call Certifications and Licenses RequiredState of Alaska Medical License as an NP or PABoard-certified or active unrestricted DEA active SEARHC medical staff required within 45 days of hire and maintained RequiredTwo years of experience as a practicing providerAdditional clinical experience or training prior to practice as a licensed provider may be considered by the Medical Director of Primary Care Clinics to meet this minimum experience Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
