Location: The Learning Experience Astoria
As our Lead Infant Teacher you will play a central role in creating a nurturing classroom where our youngest learners can thrive. The ideal candidate is someone who is not only knowledgeable in infant development but truly enjoys the worksomeone who brings patience enthusiasm and a deep sense of responsibility to the classroom every day.
- A professional with prior experience working with infants in a childcare or early learning setting
- Someone who is reliable caring and passionate about early childhood education
- A teacher who can provide consistent routines comfort and meaningful interactions that support attachment and early learning
- An individual who communicates effectively with families and collaborates with colleagues
- Someone who takes initiative maintains organization and creates a peaceful developmentally appropriate classroom environment
- Associates degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- OR Currently enrolled in an Early Childhood Education degree program
- Must meet New York State requirements for working in early childhood programs
- Strong understanding of infant milestones sensory learning and responsive caregiving practices
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that support cognitive physical and social-emotional development
- Provide attentive responsive caregiving including feeding diapering napping routines and individualized comfort
- Maintain a clean safe and organized classroom that adheres to health and safety guidelines
- Observe document and communicate developmental progress to families
- Build warm trusting relationships with infants parents and fellow staff
- Create a calm supportive environment where infants feel secure and ready to explore
