DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY
- Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will lead and oversight multiple projects on Thermal BU focused on Reynosa Operations leading product transfers new product introduction programs process improvements and capital projects to support Growth for the target sites and the standardization of manufacturing processes across Vertiv plants. This position will also coordinate the development and enforcement of global manufacturing standards and technology leadership. Interact directly with Design Engineering Program Manager and Operations Team at the target site to coordinate and execute NPDI milestones and deliverables.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with Line of Business Leaders to ensure manufacturing plans are aligned to Product Roadmaps.
- Responsible for End of Line Testing Equipment Parameters scripts and Capex associated
- Lead Develop and implement manufacturing plans for assigned new products according to NPDI program
- Lead and Provided direct support for plant-to-plant product transfers and new product development programs.
- Support Vertiv manufacturing operations using standard processes equipment and manufacturing methods.
- Identify justify pilot and commission Advanced Manufacturing technologies processes equipment and practices. Capital projects that support Growth NPDI Product Transfers Technical Capacity and Footprint associated
- Provide support for manufactured cost analyses of new and existing products.
- Responsible for the execution of Manufacturing Readiness Checklist and deliverables of NPDI Process
- Leader for Manufacturing Prototype builds along with the local operation team to achieve 2 weeks LT
- Accountable and Supportive Role for Engineering Prototype builds with Design Engineering
- Actively intervenes in growth strategies for assigned BU footprint and technical capacity definition
- Implement best manufacturing practices for existing processes and provide multi-site manufacturing engineering support.
- Assist with business-critical capital projects including facility planning layout and cost justification.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BSME/IE/Business Operations Management and 4-8 years manufacturing experience
- MSME/IE/MBA and 5 years of Advanced Manufacturing experience
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma formal training or certifications
- Please note minimum and preferred requirements for education. This includes degree specializations and certifications.
- Extensive knowledge of formalized Advanced and Lean Manufacturing applications.
- Extensive experience in New Product Development and Product Transfers.
- Excellent vertical communication interpersonal and motivation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively; ability to coach train facilitate and lead teams effectively in a transformational work environment.
- Demonstrated strong project management and technical skills; analytical skills; PC skills.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results through team building and teamwork.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
- The role is primarily based in a manufacturing facility requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
- The role involves extended periods of sitting in front of a computer.
- Occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings presentations or site visits.
- Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED
- Travel to different office or plants locations client sites or conferences may be necessary.
