Job Summary
JOB SUMMARY
In this role you will be responsible for the operation programming and maintenance of AOI and AVI systems ensuring accurate and efficient inspection of electronic components and products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Development of technical documentation for repair service and business processes.
Expert knowledge in MS Excel Visio Word and experience with MS Project.
Interface with different Departments to define program requirements.
Create process flows for repair and business processes and procedures.
Ensure that current and future processes and systems meet and/or exceed customer and regulatory requirements.
Review and promote improvement in customer metrics to ensure customer satisfaction.
Act as a liaison between Jabil sites for program transfers including providing input into transfer plans and timelines supporting data technology process and procedural requirements as well as knowledge transfer activities and participating in launch activities as needed. Provide support and technical assistance to new facility and/or Workcell startups.
Provide mentoring and technical assistance to Jabil site manufacturing engineering staff.
Support standardization of systems procedures and practices across all of the Jabil workcells.
Ensure that current and future quality and manufacturing systems meet and/or exceed customer and regulatory requirement.
Ensure all sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriately.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients customers and the general public.
Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
Advanced PC skills including training and knowledge of Jabils software packages.
Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos.
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
Core Optical inspection Skills
- Proficiency in the operation programming and maintenance of AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) and AVI (Automated Visual Inspection) systems. Familiarity with mainstream AOI/AVI equipment brands.
- In - depth knowledge of image processing algorithms including but not limited to edge detection feature extraction and pattern recognition which are crucial for accurate defect identification.
- Solid understanding of machine learning techniques applicable to defect classification in the context of AOI/AVI such as neural networks and decision trees.
- Ability to use CAD (Computer - Aided Design) software to analyze PCB (Printed Circuit Board) layouts and assist in setting up inspection parameters.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in engineering Information Technology Computer Science (MS & MBA would be a preferred.)
- ASQ (or equivalent) certified Six Sigma Blackbelt (Master Black Belt would be preferred).
- Minimum 10 years experience in campus technical leadership.
