Volunteer Position Defined:
The Volunteer aids the organizational needs to accomplish complex tasks and actions by supplying helping hands and unique subject matter expertise. The Volunteer assists the organization to enhance their leadership and staff performance periodically acting as backup resource who can be utilized to complete multiple projects and emergency tasks.

- Maintaining an effective and timely interaction to provide efficient support in the mission of organization
- Creating a sense of awareness about the cause among family members friends and community
- Assist Client Services department with maintaining accurate documentation of service objectives and outcomes as well as other services in accordance with Federal State County and KELLY Youth Services Inc. guidelines;
- Participate in staff meetings trainings and other events as required;
- Adheres to strict boundaries and professional ethics in the care of others;
- Performs duties as assigned by applicable department head;
- Experience with community outreach
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience
- Willingness and ability to model KYS mission and core values
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on effectively and flexibly relating to at-risk youth population served
- Ability to communicate well orally and in writing including speaking to a group of at-risk youth
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfort with technology especially Microsoft Office programs
- Must have ability to represent KYS in a positive manner within the community
- Must have valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
- Local state and federal background checks required
- Must be available to participate in licensing required training
Ohio Administrative Code Requirements:
Must pass BCI criminal record check
Must pass FBI criminal record check
Must pass Ohio SACWIS Alleged Perpetrator of Child Abuse/Neglect Search as well as Alleged Perpetrator Search of any other state resided in within the past five years
Must pass United States Department of Justice Sex Offender Search
