Job Summary

Threat Assessment Management (TAM) Champion-GRANT FUNDED POSITION (Part-time)Position Summary:The Threat Assessment Management (TAM) Champion is a dedicated staff position funded by the BJA STOP Grant (Project TIER). This role serves as the county-wide expert responsible for advancing and standardizing behavioral threat assessment and management (BTAM) practices across all nine ESC-served districts (city and county). The Champion is the key liaison between education mental health (ADAMHS) and law enforcement ensuring resources are effectively mapped and utilized to prevent acts of violence and address Responsibilities:I. Threat Assessment Management (TAM) Leadership- Training and Technical Assistance: Support threat assessment reviews at all schools by providing expert training and technical assistance to school threat assessment teams across the city and county.- Process Refinement: Review and refine threat assessment processes with key stakeholders (e.g. district administrators mental health providers) for consistent and effective interventions for potential acts of violence across the entire system.- Inter-Agency BTAM: Advance community-wide BTAM efforts by providing staff support and expertise to the Findlay Police Department and Hancock County Sheriffs Office for the development of their community-wide BTAM . Data and Resource System Management- Resource Mapping: Maintain and promote the digital resource guide (CSTAG Resource Guide) for available children and youth services. This includes ensuring the guide is updated to reflect local service array changes and that school personnel and community members are trained in how to access and use the guide.- Centralized Data Tracking: Pilot and implement data systems to provide centralized tracking of threat assessment reviews and youth-involved law enforcement responses. This data will be used to target support to the highest-need behaviors ages or locations for continuous quality improvement.- Grant Reporting: Report regularly to the Hancock County ADAMHS Board (as outlined in the sub-awardee notice) on the progress and outcomes of the project compiling necessary data and narrative for grant . Qualifications and Competencies- Expertise: Deep knowledge of recognized behavioral threat assessment models (BTAM/TAM) and school safety best practices.- Collaboration: Exceptional ability to build and maintain trust and coordinated efforts among diverse agencies (education mental health law enforcement).- Data Management: Proficiency in data systems management and the ability to translate complex data into actionable policy and system Duties and Responsibilities:1. Serve as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible intelligent human beings2. Instill in students the belief in and practice of ethical principles and democratic values3. Interact with superintendent and/or Governing Board and present information as requested4. Respond to routine questions and requests in an appropriate manner5. Remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the Center6. Perform other duties as assigned by the superintendent7. Represent HCESC at meetings and conferences as directed by SuperintendentQualifications:- Education: Bachelors degree required; Masters degree in School Psychology Counseling Social Work or a related behavioral health field is highly preferred.- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience leading training or managing school safety risk assessment or behavioral health teams in an educational environment.- Expertise: Deep knowledge of recognized behavioral threat assessment models (BTAM/TAM) and school safety best practices.- Collaboration: Exceptional ability to build and maintain trust and coordinated efforts among diverse agencies (education mental health law enforcement).- Data Management: Proficiency in data systems management and the ability to translate complex data into actionable policy and system improvements.
