Job Summary

The Role
We are looking for a Data Insights Lead/Analyst to drive the data agenda for Portfolio Management within INGs global Lending Transformation Program. In this permanent role you will lead the Portfolio Insights workstream developing dashboards analytics and reports that empower decision-making in Wholesale Banking (WB) Portfolio Management. Your mission is to turn our lending data into actionable insights: you will roll out the global portfolio dashboard champion data quality and governance and eliminate redundant regional reporting processes. This position has a global scope within WB Lending and reports to the Global Head of Portfolio Management in Amsterdam. It offers significant exposure to stakeholders across WB Lending Risk Finance and Tech as we standardize and digitize how we manage the loan portfolio. Key Responsibilities

  • Dashboard Development & Insight Generation: roll out and refine portfolio management dashboard and reporting tools for global use. Enable PM teams to self-serve key metrics (portfolio composition credit risk RWA etc.) and get real-time insights. Drive adoption of these tools in daily processes including training users and refining dashboards based on feedback.
  • Portfolio Analytics & Reporting: Act as the data analytics lead for the lending portfolio. Analyze large datasets (across products sectors regions) to identify trends risks and opportunities. Provide data-driven insights and regular portfolio reports to senior management highlighting KPIs and flags to inform strategy.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Ensure data accuracy and consistency for portfolio management. Implement controls and checks so that critical data (e.g. limits drawdowns risk ratings) is complete and reliable. When issues arise coordinate fixes (with data owners in Tech/COO). Champion data governance standards and a single source of truth for lending data aligning with Tribe Lending and INGs Chief Data Office policies.
  • Streamlining Reporting Processes: Lead the effort to eliminate redundant regional reports and establish one harmonized way of reporting across locations. Work with country teams to catalog existing reports identify overlaps and migrate everyone to the global dashboards and reports. By doing so reduce manual work and ensure uniform portfolio insights worldwide.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Be the linking pin between Portfolio Management and other departments. Work closely with Risk and Finance on aligning portfolio metrics with Technology on data infrastructure (e.g. data lake BI platforms) and with Transformation colleagues on program-wide data needs. Facilitate knowledge sharing and consistency across PM teams in different regions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek ways to improve our data and reporting capabilities. This includes automating data collection and report generation integrating new data sources (e.g. external market data for benchmarking) and exploring advanced analytics (potentially AI/ML) for predictive insights. You will also keep an eye on best practices in the industry to ensure our portfolio analytics remain cutting-edge.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience

  • 7 years in data analytics business intelligence or related roles ideally in financial services and in driving transformation projects
  • Proven track record of delivering insights or tools that impacted business decisions

Education

  • Masters degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field
  • Solid understanding of Lending products and credit risk fundamentals
  • Familiarity with INGs WB (Lending) strategy and Portfolio Managements role is a plus
  • Data Analysis Skills: Advanced skills in Excel and experience with BI/reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau for creating interactive dashboards
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deliverables and stakeholders. Able to define project plans for dashboard rollout and data initiatives and drive them to completion
  • Comfortable working in an Agile way adjusting to evolving requirements

  • You are a self-starter who takes initiative to identify needs and drive solutions. If a report is missing a key metric or a data issue is impeding analysis you dont wait to be asked you investigate and address it. You take full ownership of your domain (portfolio data) and pride yourself on delivering high-quality results
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for non-technical audiences. You can craft compelling charts or summaries that tell a story and youre comfortable presenting to management. English fluency is required; you are adept at writing and speaking in a concise business-focused manner
  • You build positive relationships with colleagues in different teams and countries. You can influence without authority persuading others of the benefits of data initiatives and standard tools. Youre culturally aware and can work with a diverse global team at ING
  • You are flexible as priorities shift and can handle uncertainty or change with a positive attitude. You continuously seek to learn and improve keeping up with data analytics trends and finding ways to apply them to Portfolio Management
