The GM of Q-Commerce for Turkey is a pivotal leadership role responsible for defining and executing the strategic vision operational efficiency and commercial growth of our Quick Commerce offerings including Dmart and local shop marketplaces. Based in Istanbul this leader will drive market leadership and profitability manage significant P&L responsibilities and cultivate a high-performing organization dedicated to maximizing customer experience and market share in the rapidly evolving Turkish Q-Commerce landscape.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic & Financial Leadership
Develop and implement strategic plans to aggressively drive the growth profitability and market leadership of our Dmart dark stores and local shop marketplaces across Turkey.
Financial Management: Drive revenue growth optimize margins and enhance profitability through effective cost management forecasting and rigorous data-driven decision-making.
Business Development: Identify prioritize and pursue opportunities for strategic business expansion new service introductions and growth within the Turkish Quick Commerce segment.
2. Operational & Commercial Excellence
Operational Oversight: Oversee the daily operations of Dmart and local shop platforms ensuring the smooth efficient operation of dark stores optimal inventory management and fulfillment processes.
Customer Experience: Establish and promote a proactive customer-centric mindset across all business activities analyzing customer feedback to continuously improve service quality reliability and the overall customer experience.
Compliance and Risk: Ensure strict adherence to all local Turkish regulations data management protocols and corporate policies. Proactively identify and mitigate potential operational or business risks to safeguard continuity.
3. Team Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Team Leadership: Build mentor and lead a high-performing team of managers and employees across critical functions including Sales Vendor Growth Category Management and Operations.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with regional and global teams as well as key internal partners (Product Logistics Marketing Finance) to align local strategies and create necessary synergies for execution.
Qualifications :
Qualifications and Experience
Experience: Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in a strategic leadership role preferably within the Quick Commerce (Q-Commerce) high-growth e-commerce or fast-paced retail sector.
Education: University degree (Bachelors or equivalent) in Commerce Marketing Business Administration or a related field.
Strategic Acumen: Demonstrated ability to develop and implement complex strategic plans and translate them into measurable high-impact operational results.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills capable of influencing senior stakeholders and motivating large teams.
Language: Fluent English (both spoken and written) is mandatory.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient user of Google Suite (or MS Office suite depends on what is being used in TR) and relevant data analysis tools.
