About the assignment 

As a Production Engineer you will lead the engineering and quality agenda with the overall goal to improve customer satisfaction. You are the main contact towards the suppliers in South Asia and work as part of the business team together with the supplier to develop and secure quality and compliance in the production process handling of quality deviations and secure compliance to all IKEA your responsibilities: 

• Lead the Supplier Development for quality and manufacturing with responsibility to identify and implement actions and execution of the projects 
• Lead implementation of new products at suppliers 
• Evaluate potential new suppliers production facilities and quality systems understands holistic picture of the region 
• Secure supplier & product quality/safety compliance  
• Collaborate with global teams within quality matrix to develop IKEA food safety and quality policies and performance 
• Leading the continuous improvements agenda from a quality & production efficiency perspective striving for cost out 
• Must be willing to actively search for information and continuously learn from good examples and mistakes. 
• Have the interest and drive to build trust and partnership to reach common goals. 
• Are results oriented and self-driven in ways of working to deliver better products for the many people by working together in IKEA and with suppliers. 
• Build and maintain business relations have excellent communication skills be a good team player be persistent and live our IKEA values.

Qualifications :

About you

• Engineering education/background with at least 7-10 years of relevant working experience in mechanical/automobile industry
• A background inengineeringqualityandproduct/production development 
• Solid knowledge of production processes and technologies
• Solid experience in manufacturingindustry experience in certification and testing globally would be preferred 
• Strong communicative skills in complicated environment with multiple stakeholders and able to handle conflicts 
• Proven experience in supplier management & project management 
• Proactiveapproach 
• Professional Certifications (preferred): Lean Manufacturing Total Quality Management (TQM)
