As Graduate Software and IT Engineer you will develop and improve software for diagnostic control and data acquisition; enhance network-based data acquisition systems; and support the development of data servers and processing systems through ongoing interaction and collaboration.
Your core responsibilities:
- Work with scientists and engineers to understand their data acquisition and control requirements.
- Provide help and support to scientists and engineers that use the groups systems.
- Research and evaluate the applicability of new technologies for the team.
- Organise own time to deliver tasks and maintain communication about progress.
- Participate in graduate scheme projects and development activities.
- Implement and support software and data infrastructure activities within the Plasma Control and Sensors Unit.
Qualifications :
- Degree in Science or Engineering from 2025 or 26
- Confident with all Microsoft applications including Excel Word and Powerpoint
- Driven with a strong appetite to learn and take on new challenges
- Able to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Well organised and adaptable with the ability to plan and prioritise workload
