As Thermal Hydraulics Graduate you will support applied research in fluid dynamics and heat transfer for fusion and related areas. This includes solving complex thermal-hydraulic problems through simulation or experiment.
Your core responsibilities:
- Develop skills in thermal-hydraulics modelling using computational fluid dynamics and reduced order simulation tools.
- Develop knowledge and understanding in complex multi physics analysis
- Perform a variety of technical tasks designed to provide experience & familiarisation with staff methods practices & programs of the Group and wider Division.
- Develop knowledge and understanding of fusion-relevant topics and apply this learning to assigned projects.
- Identify areas where improvements could be made to experimental apparatus process plant systems and operational practices and methodologies.
Qualifications :
- Degree in Science or Engineering from 2024 or 25
- Confident with all Microsoft applications including Excel Word and Powerpoint
- Driven with a strong appetite to learn and take on new challenges
- Able to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Well organised and adaptable with the ability to plan and prioritise workload
