Maintenance Technician II (Electrical)

Purpose

The Electrical Maintenance Technician will maintain service troubleshoot and repair electrical systems used in utilities and facilities areas. They will be required to work on a variety of electrical equipment ranging from lighting systems to power distribution and motors.   

Responsibilities

• Performs troubleshooting and repairs on all commercial and industrial equipment.
  • Examples
    • Variable Frequency Drives
    • Motors and Controls
    • Power Distribution Systems
    • Lighting Management Systems
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on a large variety of equipment including infrared scanning and static bonding and grounding.
• Communicates through various means such as email voicemail and maintenance management system (Maximo) the status of ongoing work activities.
• Will work with voltages up to 13200. Must have at a minimum experience with 480 volts.
• Adhere to Abbvies code of conduct
• Maintains the function of department assets to ensure reliable equipment and quality standards are met.
• Assists in root cause investigation and reliability centered maintenance analysis
• Capable of training others on tasks.
• Is proficient in multiple skilled trade disciplines and creates or edits maintenance job plans
• Fully proficient in their core function performing advanced level tasks
• Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization.
• Supports continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site
• Understands and follows all safety and GMP regulations.
• Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization

Qualifications :

• HS diploma with 5 yrs. experience or Relevant Certificate with 3 yrs. experience or Associates technical degree with 1 yrs. experience or proficient in two or more skilled maintenance functions.
• CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation desired
• Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (i.e. machine tools diagnostic tools predictive tools)
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)
