DescriptionAs the Director Advertising Solutions you will play an important role in the development and execution of advertising technology and product strategy for MARRIOTT MEDIA Marriotts fast-growing commerce media this role you will be expected to thrive in a startup-like environment. This role demands an entrepreneurial mindset technical experience comfort with ambiguity and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Working closely with the VP Strategy & Operations you will help define and deliver MARRIOTT MEDIAS Ad Tech ecosystem and product roadmap including prioritizing enhancements integrating tools and systems and partnering with engineering and analytics teams to implement scalable high-impact solutions. You will work cross functionally and lead highly visible key strategic initiatives project manage multiple teams and timelines and present regularly to the executive steering committee. Identifying and managing relationships with the ad solutions vendors selected will also be a key part of this role.
You are an excellent communicator and leader who will inspire the advertising product and tech strategy incorporating customer insights and Marriotts unique value. You are naturally curious and stay current on the MarTech/Ad Tech ecosystem digital marketing and the evolving commerce media landscape.
Education and Experience Required
- Bachelors degree in business marketing or a technical discipline.
- Seven or more years of experience in digital media and marketing technology.
- Three or more years in a leadership capacity overseeing cross-functional teams across technical functions.
- Strong understanding of commerce media including programmatic managed service onsite offsite and physical channels and associated reporting and analytic models.
- Experience working with media or ad networks in the travel hospitality retail or e-commerce sectors.
- Strong understanding of the Ad Tech and MarTech ecosystem including ad servers CDPs audience management tools and media performance platforms.
- Strong technical and operational foundation with relevant experience in digital media advertising technologies (including onsite advertising operations DSPs offline paid media ad serving/data technology etc.).
- History of delivering performance-driven business outcomes in matrixed organizations with competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear strategic insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education and Experience Preferred
- Masters degree in business marketing or a technical discipline.
- Work with the VP Strategy & Operations to define MARRIOTT MEDIAs Ad Tech ecosystem and product roadmap ensuring integration with broader strategic goals.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure flawless execution of our product roadmap consistently proving and increasing our value to existing and new advertising partners.
- Help define overall priorities for advertising product evolution including the itemization unification and integration of tools and systems to help automate campaign execution.
- Develop regular impactful communication of new products progress issues and impact to be presented to executive steering committee members & other senior stakeholders.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities for innovation and optimization.
- Help drive buy-in with senior leadership across the organization.
