Senior Technical Program Manager, Amazon Global Selling PMO

Amazon Global Selling (AGS) has been helping individuals and businesses increase sales and reach new customers around the globe. Today more than 50% of Amazons total unit sales come from third-party selection. The Global Selling team in China is responsible for recruiting local businesses to sell on Amazons 18 overseas stores and supporting local sellers success and growth on Amazon. The Role

The Global Selling Product & Program team in AGS collaborates with many of Amazons global teams to support the high-growth Global Selling business continuously identify new opportunities and drive new initiatives through design development launch and post-launch management. As AI becomes increasingly central to our seller experience strategy we are building AI-powered products and tools to drive seller growth and success and support internal teams efficiency and productivity. We are looking for a talented Senior Technical Program Manager to lead program management for all AI products and initiatives owned by our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of AI-powered solutions across our organization ensuring proper grooming and prioritization of the AI roadmap and providing regular updates to senior leadership. This role requires strong technical acumen to understand AI/ML technologies exceptional program management skills to drive complex cross-functional initiatives and excellent stakeholder management abilities to align diverse teams toward common goals in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.

Key job responsibilities
* Lead program management for all AI products and initiatives owned by the Global Selling Product & Program team driving them from conception through launch and post-launch optimization
* Oversee and coordinate AI initiatives across the broader organization ensuring proper grooming prioritization and alignment with business objectives and resource availability
* Develop and maintain comprehensive AI product roadmaps working closely with product managers engineering teams and business stakeholders to define timelines dependencies and success metrics
* Drive cross-functional execution across engineering product data science UX business intelligence and seller management teams to deliver AI solutions on schedule and with high quality
* Establish and maintain regular communication cadences with senior leadership providing clear visibility into program status risks dependencies and impact through data-driven updates and business reviews
* Identify and proactively mitigate risks and blockers across multiple AI workstreams escalating appropriately and driving resolution with a bias for action
* Define and track key performance indicators for AI initiatives establishing metrics frameworks to measure product success and business impact post-launch
* Manage stakeholder expectations and change management across internal and external teams as AI products evolve and scale to new markets and use cases
* Partner with technology teams to understand technical architectures evaluate trade-offs and make informed decisions on AI/ML implementation approaches
* Drive operational excellence through process improvements documentation and best practices for AI product development and delivery

- 7 years of technical program management experience with at least 3 years managing AI/ML or data science products
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Statistics or related technical field
- Proven experience managing complex cross-functional technical programs from inception to delivery
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle agile methodologies and program management best practices
- Experience with AI/ML concepts large language models (LLMs) and AI product development lifecycle
- Demonstrated ability to drive multiple programs simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English with ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience influencing and collaborating with senior leadership and executive stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to use data to drive decisions
- Proven track record of delivering results in ambiguous fast-paced environments

- Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent technical field
- Experience managing AI products at scale particularly in e-commerce marketplace or seller tools domains
- Experience working with global teams across multiple time zones and cultural contexts
- Experience with GenAI technologies prompt engineering and LLM-based applications
- Technical background with hands-on software development or data science experience
- PMP Scrum Master or similar program management certifications
- Demonstrated experience in influencing senior leadership through data-driven insights and strategic recommendations
- Experience building and scaling 0-to-1 products in ambiguous problem spaces
