Were looking for skilled National Inventory Manager to plays a critical role in managing the inventory systems processes and operations for the Government & Defence contract. This position ensures that inventory levels are accurately tracked optimised and aligned with the needs of Defence operations
Based at our Collins Street Office in Melbourne youll be responsible for maintaining inventory integrity overseeing stock control implementing best practices in inventory management and coordinating with key stakeholders to ensure seamless supply chain operations

How youll make the right impact
As a National Inventory Manager youll play a key role in ensuring our Defence logistics operations run efficiently and in line with contract expectations. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will:
Support Government & Defence contract from an inventory management perspective providing oversight to the Senior Manager Warehousing Optimisation to drive continuous improvement and ensure training programs are implemented and maintained in line with quality standards and expectations
Attend governance and command meetings at the contractual level in accordance with governance structure
Review develop/update and implement effective process systems practices and policies at a strategic level related to inventory systems processes and operations
Perpetuate a positive proactive team-based culture with a focus on providing effective coaching and feedback
What youll bring
Were looking for motivated professionals who bring:
At least 5 years of experience in inventory management ideally within Defence warehousing or logistics environments
Must be an Australian Citizen and eligible for (and maintain) an Australian AGSVA Defence Security Clearance
Strong understanding of inventory management systems (WMS) supply chain operations and best practices in inventory control including familiarity with RFID and barcoding technologies for inventory tracking
Experience with stock forecasting inventory replenishment and inventory cycle counting processes
Proven ability to lead and develop teams with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data identify trends and generate actionable insights
Proficiency in logistics software and tools particularly ERP software
Eligibility to make the grade
