The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist / CNC Programmer to join our team in Milford this role you will be responsible for transforming 3D models or blueprints into precision-machined parts. You will oversee the entire processfrom programming and setup to inspection and finishingensuring high-quality results that meet engineering specifications.
What Youll Do
- Perform tooling setup basic inspection and finishing of parts
- Maintain quality standards through adherence to QA procedures
- Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment per manufacturer guidelines
- Collaborate across teams to support organizational goals and continuous improvementProgram CNC mills and lathes using manual G-code and CAM software (FeatureCam MasterCam)
- Plan machining operations based on blueprints work orders and material specifications
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- 7 years of CNC machining experience
- Proficiency in tooling selection speeds and feeds
- Prototrack mill and CNC lathe operation; familiarity with standard shop equipment
- Strong understanding of GD&T tolerancing and technical documentation
- Skilled in using precision measuring tools (micrometers bore gauges dial indicators)
- Ability to build and fabricate welded assemblies from drawings
- Strong analytical and organizational skills; effective communicator
- Must pass background check drug screen and drivers abstract
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with horizontal and vertical CNC machines
- 5 years CAM software experience (FeatureCam MasterCam)
- CNC lathe programming and operation (Okuma Haas Mazatrol)
- CAM software proficiency (FeatureCam MasterCam)
- 4-axis CNC programming and operation
- MIG/TIG welding and sheet metal fabrication
- 3D CAD surfacing and UG/NX familiarity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- AAS degree in Engineering Manufacturing or related field
