What You Will Do
In this role you will support the design configuration and operation of complete building automation and control systemsalong with related lowvoltage subsystems such as lighting nurse call and data networks. You will ensure system performance meets project requirements and deliver highquality solutions to our customers.
You will play a key role in providing clear documentation detailed submittals and technical guidance to customers consultants field teams and subcontractors. You will also support the commissioning and troubleshooting processes to ensure systems operate as intended.
How You Will Do It
- Design and configure technically complex HVAC and building control systems based on project specifications.
- Develop flow diagrams sequences of operation bills of material network layouts and electrical schematics.
- Create and test software programs to support system performance requirements.
- Produce accurate drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation teams.
- Select order and track materials needed for assigned projects.
- Coordinate factorymounted equipment and verify alignment with project schedules.
- Assist with loading and commissioning system and networklevel controllers.
- Validate complete system functionality and troubleshoot issues with subcontractors and other trades.
- Provide field change information for the creation of asbuilt drawings and updated software.
- Keep project teams customers and management updated on progress challenges and solutions.
- Support owner/operator training on building control systems.
- Participate in release meetings with field teams to ensure alignment.
- Perform value engineering to deliver costeffective solutions without compromising quality.
- Provide guidance to Systems Design Assistants as needed.
- Strictly adhere to safety standards maintaining a high degree of regard for your own safety and the safety of others.
What We Look For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of the HVAC or construction industry.
- Solid knowledge of control theory building automation systems and lowvoltage subsystems.
- Experience integrating building systems using industry protocols such as LON or BACnet.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
- Advanced computer skills including proficiency with computeraided drafting tools.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $68k-93k (Salary to be determined by the education experienceknowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with marketdata.) This role offers a competitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual groupand corporate performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
