We are looking for a Python Data Engineer to join a small team responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines reporting tools and forecasting systems. The role focuses on processing large datasets supporting simulation platforms and improving the reliability and scalability of data workflows.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain the Dayzer production system to ensure stability and operational reliability
- Manage data transfers between Dayzer and the AWS S3 data lake
- Develop data reporting and visualization tools using Python libraries
- Design scalable data pipeline frameworks across environments
- Implement monitoring and logging to track pipeline performance health and errors
- Work with large datasets including historical and weather data for forecasting models
- Collaborate with engineers data scientists and stakeholders using Agile methodologies
- Conduct benchmarking and proof of concepts to evaluate new technologies
- Maintain technical documentation and system design specifications
- Participate in code reviews and development best practices
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior developers

Qualifications :
- Bachelor degree in Computer science Engineering Finance or Quantitative finance
- 4 years of relevant experience in Python development data engineering or data analysis
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good communication and ability to work in a small collaborative team
- Strong Python development experience
- Experience working with large datasets and data processing
- Familiarity with AWS and S3 or similar cloud environments
- Experience building or supporting data pipelines
Nice to have
- Experience with forecasting models or simulation systems
- Experience with data visualization tools
- Finance or energy domain knowledge is a plus
