Your new role

We are seeking a dedicated AOD (Alcohol and Other Drugs) Clinician to support parents involved in child family reunification. This role focuses on reducing AOD-related harm through assessments counselling and tailored care and recovery interventions for individuals required to undergo treatment as part of their reunification plan.

Your skills and experience

You will hold a tertiary qualification in a health or welfare related discipline. You will also bring with you:

  • Tertiary qualification in Health or Welfare (e.g. Social Work Psychology Nursing Allied Health Sciences).
  • Certificate IV in AOD or completion of core competencies within 24 months of employment.
  • Competencies in dual diagnosis or willingness to complete within 24 months.
  • Experience in assessment and counselling preferably with AOD or dual diagnosis clients and families.
  • Skilled in therapeutic approaches such as Motivational Enhancement Therapy Cognitive Behavioural Coping Skills Training Family Inclusive Practice self-help groups and Community Reinforcement Approaches.
