Position: Design Fabrication Technician

Location: Natick MA

Mission: Supporting the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Soldier Center (CCDCSC)

Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a Design Fabrication Technician to join our team and contribute to innovative projects that directly enhance soldier safety readiness and mission success.

What Youll Do

• Design & Fabricate: Participate in the design development and fabrication of parachute and shelter components.

• Prototype Development: Create preliminary layouts execute design details and fabricate prototypes using knowledge of construction techniques production methods and materials.

• Precision Repairs: Repair and modify airdrop and shelter equipment with fine seams and replacement parts that match original strength and quality.

• Support Innovation: Assist engineers and project managers by fabricating experimental/prototype parachutes cargo delivery systems shelters tents covers and other softwall structures.

• Collaborate & Interpret: Work from work orders blueprints sketches and verbal concepts consulting with design draftsmen and engineers to bring ideas to life.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability with industrial sewing machines

• High school diploma plus 2 years of relevant experience

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabricate products efficiently

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Solid analytical and technical skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of personal parachute systems and assembly (civilian or military)

• Experience following technical manual procedures

• Skills in CAD and/or SolidWorks

• Strong collaboration communication and problemsolving skills
