This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-level associate to handle complex employment litigation and counseling matters while working alongside a highly regarded team of practitioners in a dynamic and collegial environment.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record
- Active Bar Admission in California in good standing
- 46 years of substantivelabor and employment lawexperience preferably in a large law firmsetting
- Extensive deposition experience and experience arguing motions in court
- Experience drafting litigation-related documents and handling discovery
- Ability to communicate and negotiate with opposing counselefficiently and professionally
- Highly proficient in running cases independently
- Trial experienceand class action/PAGA experience stronglypreferred
- Strong analytical research and legal writing skills along with demonstrated initiative sound judgment and a client-service mindset
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in labor and employment litigation includingclass actionandPAGAmatters
- Take and defend depositionsand engage in motion practice
- Draft discovery and other litigation-related documents including memoranda briefsmotions and pleadings
- Participate in trials and contribute to trial preparation
- Communicate and negotiate directly with opposing counsel
- Independently progress employment law casesfrom inception through resolution
- Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups to deliver comprehensive client-focused legal solutions
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Salary: Annual base salary is expected to range from $310000 $390000 depending on experience qualifications and market factors
