About the role

As our first full-time Data Engineer you will play a key role in building and scaling our new Analytical Platform. You will transform usage subscription and purchase data into well-structured models that help guide the Software Industry towards better decisions in Business Sales and Customer Success.

You will collaborate closely with our full-stack engineers who built the Solution Provider Platform ensuring strong alignment between how data is collected prepared and used. You will also work alongside our existing Data Analyst forming a small but effective team from day one.

You will work end-to-end: from understanding business goals to designing architecture developing data products and shaping how insights are delivered. You will also have the opportunity to evolve towards advanced analytics/ML and influence future hiring within the data function.

Because we are a small and product-focused company you will have unique access to customers and industry leaders. If you are curious about the Software Industry we will actively coach you and help strengthen your commercial and strategic understanding.

Our tech stack includes Azure Databricks and Power BI.

You will among other things:

Own the architecture and development of our analytical platform

Translate business requirements into actionable data products

Build optimize and support scalable data pipelines and models end-to-end

Work closely with stakeholders to explore opportunities and guide decision-making

Develop data-intensive solutions using Python SQL and modern cloud technologies

Drive best practices for data quality modelling and documentation

Stay up to date with emerging trends in data engineering analytics and cloud technologies

Contribute to prioritization and product direction in short iterative cycles

Who we are looking for

You are analytical business-minded and comfortable moving between technology and business discussions. You take initiative communicate and enjoy shaping data into insights that support sales retention and executive decision-making.

You are curious about how the business works and motivated by seeing your solutions create real impact.

We would like you to have:

A higher education in computer science economics or similar

Senior-level experience in data engineering analytics data modelling or BI development

Strong skills in Databricks/Spark Python and SQL

Experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure GCP or AWS)

A willingness to take ownership work iteratively and engage deeply with business stakeholders
