Job Summary

Our client based in Northern Ireland provides full garage services and fleet maintenance to customers across the region. Due to continued growth they are looking for a qualified and experienced Vehicle Technician to join their team.

Role Overview

As a Vehicle Technician youll be responsible for diagnosing servicing repairing and maintaining light commercial vehicles (LCVs) to manufacturer standards. Youll ensure all vehicles are safe reliable and compliant and play an important role in keeping the fleet running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine inspections repairs servicing and preventative maintenance on LCVs

  • Maintain vehicles to manufacturer specifications

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic tools

  • Perform general servicing and major repairs (engine overhauls gearbox replacements tyre fitting wheel alignments etc.)

  • Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately

  • Prepare vehicles for PSV/MOT

  • Provide roadside assistance and breakdown support when required

  • Work closely with the team and report any issues or delays

  • Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a clean organised workspace

What Were Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

  • At least 5 years experience working with LCVs in dealer fleet or workshop environments

  • Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills

  • Ability to complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard

  • Confident using digital systems for job cards and record keeping

  • Excellent attention to detail and teamwork skills

  • Must have or be willing to take the UKVI IELTS (required for visa and licensing purposes)
