Job Summary

Library Technician - Operations

We are looking for a qualified Library Technician to deliver excellent customer service in a fulltime varied handson role that makes a real impact in the community. You will work across multiple library branches support innovative and inclusive services play a key role in maintaining strong Work Health and Safety practices and build skills in accessible technologies.

Heres what youll be up to

Be a friendly first point of contact helping customers enjoy library services and confidently use technology and equipment
Support the day-to-day running of the libraries including assisting with circulation management staff rostering and training
Take part in programs events and outreach services that connect the community with our libraries
Support strong Work Health and Safety practices including documentation risk assessments and staff safety training
Promote and support accessible technologies and equipment while working closely with colleagues across teams

The must-know bits

You will be required to undertake employment checks which may include a Criminal History Check Qualification Check Working with Children Check Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test as relevant to the position for which you have applied.

Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council for review to progress through the recruitment process.
