Job Summary
Are you an imaginative child-centred EYFS Teacher looking for a role starting January 2026 Would you like to lead early years practice in a welcoming Stratford-upon-Avon school that places play language and strong parent partnerships at the heart of provision
We are recruiting an EYFS Teacher for a forward-thinking primary in Stratford-upon-Avon. The EYFS Teacher will design rich indoor and outdoor continuous provision lead focused group activities observe and assess development and plan precise next steps that accelerate progress. This EYFS Teacher role in Stratford-upon-Avon begins January 2026 with induction and collaborative planning scheduled before January 2026 so the EYFS Teacher can hit the ground running.

About the role
The EYFS Teacher will establish a nurturing learning environment lead high-quality adult-led sessions and facilitate child-initiated learning that develops communication early literacy and number. The EYFS Teacher will maintain learning journals liaise with families and support smooth transitions into Year 1. Based in Stratford-upon-Avon the EYFS Teacher will benefit from strong support staff modern resources and a collaborative leadership team.
Main duties
- Plan and deliver purposeful EYFS sessions that develop language physical development and early number.
- Observe assess and record childrens progress; use this evidence to plan targeted group work as EYFS Teacher.
- Lead transition activities and build strong homeschool relationships across Stratford-upon-Avon.
- Support and develop nursery practitioners/assistants to maintain high-quality continuous provision.
- Contribute to whole-school EYFS improvement safeguarding and parental engagement initiatives.
Person specification
- Qualified teacher with substantial EYFS experience and confident assessment practice as an EYFS Teacher.
- Passionate about play-led pedagogy observant and skilled at planning next steps that secure rapid progress.
- Strong communicator who will engage families and multi-disciplinary colleagues in Stratford-upon-Avon.
- Ready to commence January 2026 and to attend induction and pre-start planning before January 2026.
