Job Description:
We are looking for a senior Cloud Architect to lead the technical side of a large data-center-to-Azure migration. This role will define the overall cloud architecture build the landing zone set up automation and guide all teams through the migration process. The right person is strong in Azure hands-on with IaC and CI/CD and comfortable driving technical decisions across infrastructure applications data and integrations.
Responsibilities:
Design and build the Azure landing zone using Microsoft CAF.
Set up subscriptions governance identity networking and security controls.
Lead the technical discovery and assessment of on-prem applications VMs databases and integrations.
Define migration waves and recommend lift-and-shift re-platform or refactor paths.
Develop IaC templates using Terraform or Bicep.
Set up CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
Oversee environment buildout for Dev QA and Prod.
Work with infra app data and security teams to unblock issues and keep the migration on track.
Ensure all integrations are reconnected and validated during testing.
Maintain architecture documents runbooks and technical guidelines.
Collaborate with program leadership and communicate technical status and risks.
Required Skills:
8 12 years in cloud infrastructure or enterprise architecture.
Strong hands-on Azure experience including landing zones and CAF.
Proven experience leading end-to-end migrations from on-prem to Azure.
Deep knowledge of Terraform or Bicep.
Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
Strong understanding of networking identity and security in Azure.
Familiarity with Azure Migrate ASR database migration tooling and data transfer methods.
Azure certifications (AZ-305 AZ-104 or equivalent).
Nice to Have:
Experience with hybrid network design and security patterns.
Exposure to ERP or large enterprise application migrations.
Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes.
Cost optimization and FinOps awareness.
