Job Summary

Title: Operator
Pay Rate Range: $15.75 $25.00/hr (DOE)
Employment Type: Full-Time Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday Friday; 1st 2nd or 3rd Shift
Location: Sarasota FL 34243 Onsite

Tekberry is looking for highly qualified and motivated Operators to work onsite with our client the worlds largest manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies. This is a full-time Temp-to-Hire position offering long-term opportunity. As a Tekberry W2 employee you will have access to health benefits including employer-contributed medical dental and vision paid bi-weekly.

Responsibilities:

Operate machinery safely and efficiently following all start-up and shutdown procedures.
Perform machine operations adjustments and troubleshooting as needed.
Follow applicable work instructions product specifications and GMP guidelines.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of the workstation and surrounding areas.
Complete quality control inspection points and ensure products meet specification requirements.
Read and interpret work orders bill of materials and production documentation.
Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Maintain machine and area cleanliness including routine cleaning duties.
Identify and evaluate non-conformities in products equipment and test instruments.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities Chain & Spooling Department

Conduct first-piece and continuous quality inspections.
Use Nikon profile projector for measurement and verification.
Perform visual inspections for quality standards.
Weigh and record chain production outputs.
Maintain chain traceability using temporary travelers.
Print labels and package products according to work instructions.

Additional Responsibilities Extrusion Department

Complete preventive maintenance (PM) and cleaning check sheets.
Perform first-piece and continuous quality inspections.
Execute extrusion die changeovers cleaning adjustments and troubleshooting.
Purge and clean extrusion equipment as needed.
Set up and calibrate adapter-less tip size per Zumbach specification program.
Follow proper material drying and mixing procedures.
Conduct measurement verification using calipers comparators scales and pin gauges.
Report scrap and production data accurately.

Must-Have Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
Machine operation experience in a production environment required.
Ability to perform basic math calculations and weight conversions.
Ability to read write and speak English.
Familiarity with basic measurement tools (calipers gauges comparators).
Proficiency using small hand tools.
Dependability adaptability and strong attention to detail.
Ability to cross-train in multiple production areas.
Lean manufacturing experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for at least 4 hours at a time.
Manual dexterity; ability to grasp and manipulate small objects.
Extended reach and normal eye-hand coordination.
Ability to determine color acuity.
Ability to lift carry and move materials product and equipment up to 30 lbs.

Environmental Requirements:

Air-conditioned manufacturing environment with limited temperature fluctuation.
Exposure to general manufacturing conditions.
Must not have latex allergies.
