Industrial Engineer
INTRODUCTION:
Our client is a leading pharmaceutical company committed to innovation digital transformation and global expansion. As they enter the next phase of growth they seek an Industrial Engineer to ensure that the business is operating as efficient as possible with the most innovative and modern solutions
PURPOSE
The Industrial Engineer will be developed into a Business Process Engineer working closely with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency continuous improvement and innovation. The role focuses on four core pillars: Project Management Kaizen (continuous improvement) Data Analytics and Innovation. The position is designed to provide hands-on experience and exposure to business-critical processes enabling the graduate to build a strong foundation in operational excellence and process engineering.
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications
- Mandatory: BSc/BEng in Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
- Preferred: Certifications or exposure to Lean Six Sigma Project Management or Data Analytics.
Experience
- Recent graduate or up to 1 year of relevant internship/graduate program experience.
- Exposure to data analysis tools (Excel Power BI SQL Python or similar) is an advantage.
- Participation in projects or process improvement initiatives during studies will be beneficial.
Technical & Professional Competencies
- Strong analytical problem-solving and process-mapping skills.
- Knowledge of Lean/Kaizen and continuous improvement principles.
- Basic understanding of project management methodologies.
- Proficiency in MS Office; exposure to BI tools preferred.

- Proactive curious and eager to learn.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions.
- High level of accountability and ownership of tasks.
- Adaptable with a mindset for speed excellence and innovation.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS WEIGHTS AND OBJECTIVES:
- Project Management
- Manage projects across the business
- Implementing agile and waterfall project methodologies
- Conduct project impact meetings with scorecards
- Diagnose and solve bottlenecks in the projects
- Business Process Improvement (KAIZEN)
- Implement kaizen principles to improve business processes
- Act as an internal consultant/process expert for the various departments
- Identify business issues and conduct workshops around problem definition
- Investigate and measure the extent of the problem in each of the departments
- Solve the problem using the most efficient method
- Maintain and control the systems where solutions have been implemented
- Redesigning business processes to work as optimal as possible to save time and resources
- Data Analytics
- Building and maintaining the company scorecards that track company and departmental goals with Power BI
- Conduct analysis scenario planning and simulation through mathematical/management accounting models
- Promote a culture of data driven decision making
- Innovation/research
- Facilitating the workshop to provide the platform for engineers and data analysts to innovate and share ideas
- Automating business processes through RPA (Power Automate Power Bi Smartsheet Automation chat bots)
- Data science through ML and AI
- Researching what ideas related to technology and 4IR and be brought into the business
