The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair upkeep and preventative maintenance of machinery equipment and facility systems in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures production equipment operates safely and efficiently to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations. The Maintenance Technician must be skilled in troubleshooting diagnosing and repairing mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems.
****This will be a 2nd shift role. 3pm-11:30pm Mon-Fri****

Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance and Repair
- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on production machinery tools and facility systems (e.g. HVAC compressors electrical panels).
- Diagnose mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and schematics.
- Repair or replace defective components including motors bearings belts sensors pumps valves and wiring.
- Perform welding fabrication or machining when necessary for equipment repair or modification.
Preventive Maintenance (PM)
- Execute scheduled PM tasks according to maintenance schedules and manufacturer specifications.
- Document all maintenance and service activities accurately in maintenance logs or CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Identify trends in equipment failure and recommend long-term solutions.
Facility Support
- Support building and utility maintenance including lighting plumbing HVAC and safety systems.
- Respond promptly to facility maintenance requests and ensure safety compliance.
- Assist in plant or equipment upgrades installations and relocations.
Safety and Compliance
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company safety procedures during maintenance activities.
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures must be followed during repair or servicing of machinery.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area including maintenance shop and spare parts inventory.
- Report unsafe conditions worn equipment or potential hazards immediately.
Continuous Improvement
- Provide input for equipment upgrades and improvements to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action teams to eliminate chronic maintenance issues.
- Support kaizen 5S and Lean Manufacturing initiatives within the maintenance function.

Education & Work Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance mechatronics or related field preferred.
- 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance preferably in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Experience using hand tools power tools multimeters PLCs and other diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Team player with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged standing climbing bending and working in tight spaces.
- Comfortable working at heights or in varying temperatures depending on facility conditions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is usually in an office within a manufacturing facility with low to moderate noise level. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
