One of our clients needs a Project Manager in Norfolk VA for a permanent position.

Position: Project Manager
Location: Norfolk VA
Position Type: Full-time

Overview:

The Project Manager will be the primary Contractor POC for the oversight and performance of all project level tasks.
The Project Manager is expected to be responsible for the orchestration of resources and successful execution of all tasks subtasks and work effort.
The Project Manager must maintain close communications and coordination with the Contracting Officer or COR (if assigned) including weekly and/or monthly work progress cost and schedule reporting.

Minimum Certifications:

Must possess a valid Project Management certification (i.e. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or other equivalent nationally recognized program management certification etc.).

Minimum Experience:

Must possess at least four (4) years of relevant program or project management leadership experience of progressively higher responsibility in the public and/or private sector.

Minimum Education:

Must possess a Bachelor of Science (BS) or a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from a nationally accredited and recognized institution of higher learning or four (4) additional years of relevant experience beyond the minimum experience requirement (i.e.: a total of eight (8) years of relevant program or project management experience or greater).

Additional Qualifications and Required Skills:

Active Secret clearance
Must possess an IT-III Non-Sensitive security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) at time of proposal submission.
Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team setting in areas such as teamwork facilitation and negotiation. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Expert in managing complex program(s)/project(s) with demonstrated ability to provide acceptable technical solutions in a timely manner. Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Capable of thinking strategically while implementing program(s)/projects(s) iteratively (i.e.: understands the long-term / big picture).
Strong understanding of contract management and contractual obligations.
Well versed in software development lifecycle (SDLC) program/project IT testing as well as risk management issue identification and problem resolution.
Proficiency in basic analytical software products such as Adobe as well as Microsoft Excel Access Word Office Project Visio and PowerPoint.
