As a Locum Gastroenterologist you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal disorders and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal treatment outcomes. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients with gastrointestinal conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Perform diagnostic procedures including endoscopies and biopsies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care
- Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records
- Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology and participate in ongoing professional development
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations and ethical standards
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Gastroenterology
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Colorado
- Experience in a clinical setting preferably in gastroenterology
- Strong diagnostic and procedural skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning
Schedule: 24-hour beeper call shifts 7a-7a
Level III trauma
Setting: Inpatient
Patient Census: 1-2 per day
Patient Population: Adults adolescents
Cases: Endoscopies GI bleeds evaluation of GI problems
Support Staff: RN
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
