Our client a leading national infrastructure delivery organisation is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to support major rail upgrade works across several regional project sites in Victoria. This role suits someone who enjoys being on site coordinating multiple work fronts and working closely with engineering construction and stakeholder teams.
About the Role
Youll support the delivery of civil and track-related works across multiple locations ensuring activities are well-planned compliant and aligned with project milestones. The position involves regular site travel between regional work zones with occasional requirements to attend the Melbourne head office for meetings and coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate construction engineering activities across track earthworks drainage and civil scope
Review designs support constructability and ensure works follow technical standards
Track progress manage documentation and support quality safety and environmental compliance
Liaise with contractors and internal teams to resolve design interface and scheduling issues
Support reporting budgeting forecasting and project performance tracking
Contribute to risk management issue escalation and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Strong experience delivering civil or rail projects within complex live environments
Knowledge of track formation bulk earthworks drainage and corridor construction
Proven ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple work fronts
Excellent communication technical reporting and stakeholder engagement skills
Adaptable proactive and able to navigate rapidly changing site conditions
