The role will be dynamic to include Design Build and Deliver to major site expansion projects as well as functions as SME knowledge base for existing infrastructure and equipment. This role requires strong technical capabilities and leadership skills. Will be responsible for direct reports with responsibilities including but not limited to electrical mechanical and process engineering as well sustainability reliability and total preventative maintenance initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain department budget:

  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets and site long range capital planning and budgets. Ensure Cost Center Owners have appropriate information and tools needed to develop and to be held accountable to their budgets

Ensure adequate operational infrastructure and support capacity to meet marketing R&D and clinical needs:

  • Responsible for the acquisition of new equipment and facility layout design and construction.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of existing equipment and facilities through department managers and their staff.

Ensure department goals align with organization goals:

  • Provide site master planning in accordance with strategic objectives while ensuring capacity availability and expansion capabilities
  • Responsible for capital project conceptualization planning design execution and implementation.
  • Ensure adherence to governing policies SOP and overseeing agency requirements.
  • Select develop and foster a well-trained motivated and informed technical staff. Develops and mentors personnel while exhibiting Core Values.

Perform other tasks as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree required preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • 10 years relevant work experience required preferably a pharmaceutical environment.
  • 3 years leadership experience with direct reports required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.

  • Ability to deal appropriately with regulatory agencies

  • Requires safety alertness due to work around hazardous equipment and conditions.
  • The incumbent may be required to stand for extended periods of time.

Compensation Overview:

Phoenix - AZ - US: $165100 - $200067

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job such as required skills where the job is performed the employees work schedule job-related knowledge and experience. Final individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
