Admissions: Included as needed

Case Mix: Emergency medicine across full age range

EMR System: CPSI

Office Equipment Available: Standard emergency department equipment

Specialty Backup Available: Other specialty physicians available on-site

Support Staff Available: Registered nurses and specialty physicians

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Credentialing Timeline: 4560 days

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Emergency medicine procedures consistent with rural critical access practice

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active West Virginia license/IMLC accepted

Board: ABEM preferred; ABFM or ABIM accepted with extensive EM experience

DEA: Required

Certifications: BLS and ACLS required

Experience: Minimum 2 years of emergency medicine experience

Other Qualifications: Ability to manage diverse emergency presentations in a rural critical access setting

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide comprehensive emergency medicine coverage for all age groups

Manage emergency cases consistent with a critical access hospital setting

Deliver safe and timely clinical care during 12- or 24-hour shifts

Maintain accurate documentation in CPSI EMR system

Collaborate with nursing staff and specialty physicians to provide coordinated care
