Job Summary

This role has the exciting opportunity to work directly with cross-functional leaders andCSuitedeveloping plans to power JonnyPops Commercial Strategy. The (Sr) Director Commercial Operations will lead and develop team of sales operations experts to support profitable business growth primarily supporting Sales Marketing and Operations workstreams. Functional oversight includesSales Forecasting and Planning Trade Management and Optimization Category Insights Reporting and Analytics and Customer Setup and have strong CPG experience and desire to lead in ahighdynamic visible cross-functional role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Team Management:

  • Manage and develop team ofsales operationsexperts to supportsales and marketing ability to drive profitable business growth which may include but not be limited tothe following functions:

  • SalesForecasting and Planning

  • Trade Managementand Optimization

  • CategoryInsights ReportingandAnalytics

  • Customer Setup and Development

  • Commercial Strategy Operations

  • Sales Tradeshowsand Support

  • Developcaptureand share best practice sales tools presentations proposals process & policies.

  • Develop sales training programs as needed on Commercial Operations initiatives.

  • Provide team functional leadership with Values-aligned actions.

CommercialPlanningand Forecasting:

  • Sales Forecasting ProcessDevelopment:Lead team on ongoing volume planning and forecasting process. Including oversight of rollout ofnew technologyvendorandprocessto streamline planning and forecasting trade planning and support change management of old to new process.

  • Leadership Voice:Provide sales leadership input and engage with cross-functional leaders forplanning ofannual company revenue budget planning pacing against and opportunities based on planning and forecastingprocess.

  • Cross-Functional POC:Ownplanreportingto cross-functional BUs (Operations Finance Supply Chain Marketing etc.) to power their planning processesmeeting withteam members in advance to drive and develop newreports views and opportunities to streamline handoffs between teams thataidplanning effectiveness and agility.

  • Base Forecast Assumptions:Own view of key levers for the plan that impact forecast including but not limited to pricing base velocity trends competitor trends macro trends innovation performance and key levers are properly accounted for in forecasting models produced byteamor vendors.

  • Trade and PromotionalOptimization:Lead team on trade and promotional effectiveness analysisopportunity and optimizationidentification and inclusion into sales forecasting translate opportunities into customer plans.

  • Total Customer Investment (TCI)Development:Take Commercial Strategy andbusinessgoals anddevelop customer-specificTCIguidancein partnership withSalesand Marketingleader(s)to driveprofitable / Lead account/customerreviews plannerreviewsand assignmentsto maximizeprofitable growth across customers.

Category Insights Reporting and Analytics:

  • Manage budgets andoversee work product deliverablesfrom syndicated dataproviders (SPINS Numerator Nielson IRI etc.)and customer datasets ensuringaccessibility and useability of data to drive strong sales and marketing team to ensure syndicated data and customer reporting is produced on time and is actionable.

  • Develop best-in-class category insightsand sales storieswithcategory insights teamto unlock incremental profitable sales opportunities.

  • Evaluate and own roadmap of Insights Reporting and Analytics projects to increase ability to deliver on Commercial Strategy and cross-functional team needs.

Sales SupportTeam Management:

  • Ensure executional excellence across sales operations toolsand databasesowned by the team.

  • Ensuresupport for salesteamto effectively manage customer formssetup samples and tradeshows.

Food Safety Requirements:

  • Clearly reflect food safety and quality as part of the JP brand when planning and executing projects and while interacting with relevant external stakeholders
  • Follow systemwide GMPs when on the manufacturing floor as required of all JP personnel


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degreepreferably in Business Administration or toMBA.

  • 6 years experience in CPG industry with a specific emphasis onSales Operations Forecasting Trade Planning or Finance.

  • Ability to influence decision making across multiple levels and functions of an organization to drive results

  • High attention to detail and passion for data integrity

  • Ability to work across multiple data sources to provide a holistic perspective

  • Experience working and thriving in both big and smaller scaling brands

  • Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities

  • Ability to make decisions and work with little supervision

  • Proficient with basic computer hardware and software (WordExceland PowerPoint)

  • Excellent oral and written skills

  • Ability to be entrepreneurial and methodical

  • Results-oriented and process driven withhigh expectationsof self and team

  • Collaborative mindset with strength in effectively receiving and communicating feedback
