What youll do
- Lead Zero Harm compliances and initiatives
- Manage all aspects of project delivery from site and team-setup to handover through the application of Downer Project Management tools and systems
Develop and review design environmental community and construction planning and monitor progress of allocated projects to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and cost estimates - Work with operations to establish active effective business improvement teams to eliminate waste and minimise the cost of our operations
- Manage financial issues effectively and follow accounting and other policies and procedures
- Maintain schedules and planning to meet objectives / projects. Conduct regular audits and reviews of projects to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure safety quality and environment is a consistent agenda item at all workgroup meetings and provide regular feedback to employees and contractors
- Undertake regular review of phased forecasts and ensure forecasts are accurate and detailed
- Lead the customer relationship at the project level for the nominated project or program of works

What were looking for
- Highly experienced in the engineering and/or construction industry
- Minimum five years experience in a similar position managing major projects ($100M)
- Engineering degree preferable
- PMBOK and or CPPD accreditation preferable
- Experience in Utility Networks construction and maintenance is essential
- Solid understanding and demonstration of successful Project Directorship and Project Management skills
- Financially astute able to prepare operational budgets and analyse financial information
- Management experience (general and operational) with capability to develop strategic / business / project plans and delivery responsibility
- Project planning; float management and efficient utilization management
- Management experience (general and operational) with capability to develop strategic / business / project plans and delivery responsibility
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the business and build business building relationships
