Job Summary
Bullhead City Elementary School District is seeking a highly qualified Junior HighSchool CounseloratFox Creek Junior High School.
This position requires certification by the Arizona Department of Education.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters Degree: Official transcripts documenting a masters or more advanced degree from an accredited institution.
- CurrentCounselorcertification with appropriate endorsements as set by the Arizona Department of Education.
- Positive recommendations from past employers and/or training institutions.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.
REPORTS TO: Principal
Description:Provide counseling services for the school community in trauma-informed environment. Services provided include but are not limited to:
- Providing counseling to students who have disciplinary problems
- Providing counseling to students with excessive absenteeism
- Provide short-term individual and small group counseling services to students
- Consult with teachers to schedule and present lessons to classrooms based on developmental needs and needs identified throughdata
- Consulting with teachers about buildingclassroom relationships effective classroom management and the role of noncognitive factors in student success
- Advocating for students at IEP meetings 504 meetings and student intervention team meetings
- Analyze schoolwide and school counseling program data
Job Type: Full-time flex schedule 4-5 days a week
Salary: $42000.00 to $49500.00 /year
