DescriptionOversees the daily operations of a PACE clinic site focusing on provider and staff relationships participant care customer service and regulatory compliance. Effectively coordinates the clinic operations by coordinating administrative policies provider preferences and participant needs.
Responsibilities- Leadership
- Supervises all clinic staff. Conducts staff meetings on a weekly basis. Acts as a liaison between support staff and providers.
- Conducts all aspects of clinic staff employment i.e. interviewing performance appraisals disciplinary actions etc. Maintains time cards and reports total hours worked to payroll. Maintains accurate employee files. Defines and assists with continuing education for all staff.
- Demonstrates a positive customer service attitude/behavior. Reacts in a timely manner to resolve participant complaints and/or employee conflict promoting customer service. Maintains open communication with other PACE disciplines hospital departments referring physicians and staff providers. Participates in and fosters an approach to continuously improving quality that includes both intradepartmental and interdepartmental activities.
- Program Management and Daily Operations
- Maintains the authority to purchase daily operational supplies. Maintains inventory control of all general office and medical supplies. Orders and maintains adequate inventory levels. Practices effective cost containment.
- Prepares in cooperation with the Senior/Executive Director all operational manpower and capital budgets. Prepares and submits various operational and financial reports as requested. Adheres to financial and operational budget.
- Prepares reviews and institutes policies and procedures related to clinic operation.
- Oversees day-to-day clinic operation and ensures participants are provided care that is timely professional and which represents the mission and values of the FMOL Health System.
- Assures that all required RN assessments are completed and closed within regulatory timeframes.
- Performance Improvement and Quality
- Ensures compliance with PACE policies and procedures. Ensures OSHA and CLIA standards. Maintains and updates OSHA and CLIA to ensure compliance.
- Ensures compliance with CMS PACE regulations LDH ADHC and Home Care regulations as well as any other local state and federal mandates. Performs and oversees required audits and rounds timely and develops/monitors quality plans to address areas needing improvement.
- Oversees daily department huddles and attends required meetings such as daily IDT meetings Care Plan meetings family meetings etc
- Serves on PACE committees including fall committee and quality committee. Attends committee meetings and other meetings such as the quarterly PAC committee.
- Oversees and maintains organization infection control policies and practices. Maintains infection control log and advises site personnel on infection control practices. Assures clinic staff maintain immunization records on participants.
- Participates in and coordinates with organizational process to collect and ensure information about hazards and safety practices that are used to identify management issues.
- Other Duties As Assigned
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
QualificationsEducation: Bachelors
Licensure: Current unrestricted Louisiana RN and BLS
Exp: 5 years clinical experience 1 year working with frail/elderly
