Full or Associate Professor in History (Technology)
The School of Humanities invites outstanding academics with proven track records in teaching research and academic management and administration to apply for a faculty position as Full Professor or Associate Professor in the History of Technology. The region and time period of specialisation are open. To complement our programmes existing strengths we especially seek applicants with interdisciplinary strengths in the history of technology environmental studies cultural history history of knowledge information sciences and digital humanities. Applicants whose teaching and research have transnational and global dimensions are particularly welcome. Candidates should possess a background and a distinguished track record of publications in the History of Technology or Technology Studies.
The successful applicant is expected to engage actively in research teaching and service. The successful applicant at the Full Professor level must demonstrate ability to provide academic leadership in the subject area of History within the School of Humanities.
The History Programme currently offers a Major and a Minor in History and MA and PhD programmes by research.
