We are looking for a dependable Small Engine Repair Technician to keep our equipment running safely and efficiently.
Position Overview
The Small Engine Repair Technician will be responsible for diagnosing repairing and maintaining small-engine equipment used throughout our facility. This role helps ensure minimal downtime and contributes directly to production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose troubleshoot and repair small engines (gas and LPG) and related equipment
Perform routine tune-ups preventive maintenance and adjustments
Troubleshoot electrical ignition and fuel-system issues including carburetor and EFI systems
Read and interpret schematics service manuals and technical diagrams
Complete rebuilds component replacements and system overhauls as needed
Maintain accurate service records repair logs and parts usage
Collaborate with the maintenance and operations teams to prioritize repairs and minimize equipment downtime
Maintain a clean safe and organized work area
Key Skills
Engine diagnostics and repair
Small engine and LPG systems
Electrical and ignition troubleshooting
Fuel systems (carburetor and EFI)
Preventive maintenance
Reading and interpreting schematics
Skilled use of hand tools power tools and diagnostic equipment
Relevant Experience
Performed repairs tune-ups and general engine maintenance
Diagnosed and resolved mechanical and electrical issues
Completed engine rebuilds and component replacements
Maintained accurate service and repair logs
Qualifications
Previous small engine repair experience required; industrial or manufacturing environment preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in a physical environment
Basic computer or tablet skills for logging work orders (training provided)
