The Opportunity

The Associate Director manages operations for a unit that provides programs and services to over 250 Registered Student Organizations (RSOs). In addition this position is responsible for oversight of the program area for Fraternity & Sorority Life. The Associate Director supervises the Assistant Director for Student Organizations. Through a combination of advising training and experiential learning students will be supported to develop leadership skills as well as abilities to build and maintain strong effective organizations. The Associate Director is part of a collaborative team of professionals supporting student engagement across a wide range of areas that also include student government campus activities orientation and the Student Union.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Student Affairs Counseling Higher Education Administration or related field
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of full-time experience in higher ed student affairs or related work experience advising college-age students is required.

Required skills knowledge abilities:

  • Demonstrating knowledge in the areas of student development program coordination student leader advisement and effective leadership programming. Additionally a strong understanding of risk prevention/management and harm reduction
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours
