Job Summary
Elementary Classroom Assistant
We are currently seeking one full-time Classroom Assistant to join our Elementary team. The successful candidates will join a team of educators passionate about providing a holistic learning experience for children. Experience with Montessori is certainly an asset but not a necessity.
Desired qualities in a candidate are:
* Clean criminal record check
* Successful experience working with and understanding students in elementary school
* Able to take direction as well as initiative
* Excellent communication skills with both children and adults
* Organized and reliable
* The desire to learn about the Montessori philosophy
* Current First Aid or willingness to acquire
The successful candidate must be available on a full time basis Monday Friday from 8:30 3:00 commencing January 6th and continuing until approximately April 30th or until the incumbent returns. This role is a temporary assignment created to support the school during a short-term employee leave. The position will conclude upon the employees return.
