The Office of Field Experiences is seeking a student office assistant to support students within and outside of the School of Education in obtaining field experiences and practicum placements.
Specific Duties:
Greet and assist students in signing up for practicum scheduling appointments etc.
Accurately file information
Data entry
Precisely scan or copy documents
Run errands across campus
Other assignments as needed may include lifting boxes
Assist in organizing small meetings and large scale events (e.g. Practicum Fair; Education Job Fair)
Participate in departmental initiatives events and activities as requested
Qualifications/Skills/Requirements:
Pleasant personality that works well under pressure in a busy environment
Eager to learn
Must have good communication skills (dependable and personable)
Able to produce quality and quantity work assignments
Complete job tasks with attention to detail
Appropriately handle confidential material
Requires knowledge and ability to utilize Microsoft Office products including but not limited to Microsoft Word Excel and Power Point
Compensation: $12.00 per hour
On-the-job training provided.
Time Commitment:
The position requires the ability to work approximately 7-10 hours per week during the fall and spring semester. Winterim hours may also be available but are not guaranteed.
Preferred: Applicant who can commit to working for OFE for more than one semester. Actual hiring will be dependent on applicant pool.
Position starts Spring Semester 2025. Specific schedule to be determined by class schedules and a shared office space; office is open 8:30-4:30 M-F
